I made an interesting discovery while cooking tonight. If you leave butter in a coffee cup in the microwave too long, it comes out looking like a steamy cappuccino. I do not lie. It is foamy and brown (burned).
And by 'cooking,' I mean heating butter to pour over microwave (already buttered) popcorn.

That is interesting! And gnarly!
You were trying to re-create the delicious popcorn I made for you, weren't you? Don't be shy, you can tell me you thought it was the best popcorn ever ;)
HOLA, Karin!!! How the heck are ya? And yes, I've personally witnessed the browning of butter myself. . while burning butter in a microwave would be easy due to the quicker nature of microwave cooking, burning butter on the stove actually requires an even greater level of cluelessness. . It does almost appear like a frothy coffee drink, but I wouldn't try it if I were you!
What happens if you leave it on the stove too long?
1. this is what you call cooking?
2. wow. you burned butter. wow. should have used Smart Balance.
3. you buttering buttered microwave popcorn has caused my gag reflex to kick in.
And me looking in your refrigerator has caused my gag reflex to kick in, so we're even.
