calloused

I get pedicures about as often as I change the oil in my car. Wait. Scratch that.
My dad changes my oil.

The point is, I don't get pedicures very often.

Apparently, the local Vietnamese foot scrubber noticed. She held up my foot and said, "You should really take better care of your feet. You're a lady." Then she asked me if I had ever heard of the store Bath & Body Works. (Clearly my lathering up has done no good). "You should start using lotion" she informes me. And then says, "And if they are too expensive, just wait for a sale. Or better yet, buy Vaseline. I'm sure you can afford that, right?"

Then she gave me her card. I politely stuck it in my purse and (much to her chagrin) said, "See you in a year!"

I get harassed too about not using the pumas (sp?) stone on my feet often enough. I always think to myself we live in FL the land of flip flops. Of course my feet are going to be a little rough. We are not paying these people for their oppinion of our feet!

this reminds me of the time i got a pedicure. the lady asked if i wanted a manicure, my eyebrows waxed, and then added, "and your upper lip too?"
