eye consultant: "No. Because with that prescription, your going to need to do everything you can to hide the thickness."
me: [beat] "I get that a lot."

Gotta love the painfully honest eye consultant. And the unsuspecting blogwriter who naively asked "Why?" to a statement that should've been left alone.
Nonetheless I think said innocent blogwriter is beautiful regardless of the thickness of her lenses. And you can quote me on that.
How would you have responded to the brutally honest eye consultant if, right then and there, he had offered you a bottle of Coke?
