anniversary dinner

I walked into Chick-fil-A tonight and was greeted by a guy in a tuxedo. Apparently, today marked the 10th anniversary of my favorite restaurant and I did not get an invitation. Thankfully, tuxedo guy (I really should learn his name) immediately recognized this gross oversight and said with a look of sheer embarrassment (gasp!), "How did you not get on the list?! This is for our most valued costumers! Here, take a seat!"

For the special occasion, desserts were on the house and we had the enjoyment of listening to a guy on a keyboard play two chords and repeatedly hit the pre-recorded version of the Beatles' Yesterday intermixed with snare drums.

The only drawback was that I asked for a milkshake and the thrifty old lady who does a bad job of painting faces on the kids on Tuesdays told me I couldn't have a milkshake, but I could have a brownie instead. Yet, plenty of other people got milkshakes so I have cause for complaint.

Maybe you'll get a milkshake later. I bet she was procrastinating.

Maybe you should try a different Chick-fil-A.

I went to the Waterford Lakes Chik-Fil-A that very same day and had my bulletin (for a free sandwich) rejected! I should know by now to just make the drive to University!
