Is it window shade or sun screen?

Today was our annual Sunday service where church was fun. Er..particularly fun. It's called Vision Awareness Sunday, we do a big production, and there are plenty of free donuts to go around. This year, I played 'Dorothy' from the Wizard of Oz. But that is not the point of this blog.

The point is to say that after church as I was getting back into my car and was about to take down the shades that block the scorching heat from roasting my car even more than it already does, I heard thwap thwap....thwap thwap. Naturally, I assumed someone was tapping on my car, trying to get my attention to tell me what an amazing job I did in the play. So I get out of the car, all smiles, only to find an empty parking lot.

Puzzled, I got back into the car, reached for the window shades again, only to hear the recurring thwap thwap....thwap thwap. I quickly jump out of the car again, even more excited to find out who would want to congratulate me so much that he would want to get my attention, distract me, and then cause me to look for him! The dramatic tension builds!!

Again, empty parking lot.

I get back in the car, take down the window shade, and discover my admirer.
The windshield wipers were on.

They were waving at you! Perhaps their way of saying "Well done, Dorothy!"

irl...we would be rather careful to keep this entire event a complete and total secret.

LOL! You're complete genius! And if you ever get too embarrassed with yourself, just remember to click your heels together because there's no place like home...

Be not discouraged. I hear that the four-way flashers are hosting the Academy Awards next year.

Who played Toto? Did you carry him around in the Easter basket?

Funny story that is oh so you. I can picture you jumping out of the car all smiles looking for your fan club.

Miss you even more now. See you in a couple months. We're there for 10 days so hopefully we can get at least a couple visits in!
