Things I'm learning

Lessons I've learned in April:

  1. When going on a mission trip to the middle east, it's probably not the best idea to have your mom find out through a support letter in the mail
  2. Coming to bible study with a printed out syllabus and an assignment for everyone to read ten chapters by next Tuesday, might not be the best idea either
  3. You can't make spaghetti in the microwave

In regards to the first statement: It's also probably not the best idea to let your parents know that you're going to England for the first time when they get the postcard in the mail. I made that mistake...

Are you sure about that last one? I cooked just about anything in the microwave my freshman year, including pasta.

Woah - when are you going there? Where specifically? Fill us in, lady?! And, not to burst anyone's bubble, but notifying your parents late about a trip to England is sooo not the same as notifying them late about a trip to the middle east ;)

I don't recall telling anyone it was the same.

You are so meant to be a professor! And seriously, that is exactly the type of Bible study I would love to attend, one that has great assignments and is organized with a syllabus :)

Thankfully your parents are still young enough to have recovered...and they actually trust that you pray about travel destinations before you sign on!
